The Seattle Times: Nation & World: You know you want it, or do you? Marketing and the brain
Neuromarketing again. Impressive figure: 700 new products launched daily. This is beginning to sound like the end of positioning. I wonder what could help consumers make up their minds... Will branding cope with the task of making decisions easier? We'll see. For now, my money is on the customization economy: build modular concepts and brand them as such! Tell consumers they can customize their product! I know this will lead to higher costs but for now you can also get a higher margin for these products / services.
